Never Look Down.. Look Up..
At Gishnu gears we believe in the axiom that Customers are more valued than any other aspect of business sphere. They are the fountainhead of our existence as an organisation. This is not a profile of Gishnu Gears, but the trail of the journey of a 2nd generation entrepreneur.
Initially when I joined the family business in 2012, my father asked me to ‘be technically fit’ so that I can have the comfort of running the organisation later. But after a few months I realised that there were enough people in the organisation who were technically competent. The method followed then was ‘RISK MANAGEMENT’. I transformed this into ‘ORAGANIC MANAGEMENT’. My father Mylsamy, MD&CEO said: ‘We can recruit a thousand engineers but can only groom and create one viable manager. Taking a cue from this, I went on working tirelessly, placing SOP’s in and around the organisation from security up to the top management.
Now I realised that a shift from the first generation to the next, meant that one had to undergo a whole cultural change. In order to solve this crisis, I decided to work in reverse by bringing in the needs and wants of the customers, which in turn required a different kind of manufacturing technique without changing the machinery or infrastructure. I implemented refined manufacturing practices which improved the capacity by 25%.
Coming to material procurement, without any remorse, the new system was brought into effect. Till then people were working in the traditional way of predicting. When reforms were brought into purchase and people were asked to toe the line, we did face some stack up in inventory. But the teams again took the responsibility of clearing it up with a sense of purpose.
Post-COIVD it was like ‘honey in the belly’ for everyone, as we all had to start afresh in our business frame-works. An entire Generation was dependent on IoT and Cloud-based running of business in an engineering company. Everyone was scurrying to get a software solution to run the business remotely. This we had thought would not work in the engineering industry at least for a while.
Today, we at Gishnu Gears, manufacture all types of industrial speed reducer gearboxes and automotive power steering bevel gearboxes in the most robust manner. Power transformation is like the medical field- the more updated you are, the better the chances of your survival out in the field.
Whatever be the innovations we bring in our products, we never lose sight of one thing: ‘QUALITY AND TIME DELIVERY’.
For being where we are today, we owe a lot not only to the relentless and dedicated work of Team Gishnu, but to all our customers, suppliers, event organizers, digital marketing team and a host of champions who continue to work from behind the scenes. We will continue to grow as the best Gearbox manufacturer in the world!
